Description

A U.S. Navy Sikorsky SH-3G Sea King (BuNo 149930) of Helicopter Combat Support Squadron 1 (HC-1) "Pacific Fleet Angels" approaches the guided missile cruiser USS Oklahoma City (CG-5), not visible, circa in 1978.

On 19 December 1972, the SH-3G 149930 was already in service with HC-1 and recovered the Apollo 17 astronauts. It was finally retired to the AMARC as 9H0044 on 30 August 1993.
