Singapore Botanical Gardens lilypad

Summary edit

Description
English: Singapore Botanical Gardens lilypad. Singapore Botanical Gardens is an example of the British colonial tropical botanic gardens. The gardens were a site to test which spices proved profitable to grow in the Singaporean climate, later to become plantations. Raffles Economic Garden, on one side of the botanic garden, is one remnant of this.
