Description
English: Ledger stone, probably of two canons who both died in 1487, in the chapel of Saint Anthony of Padua, the middle chapel along the north aisle of the Basilica of Saint Servatius in Maastricht, Netherlands. One of the canons was probably the scholaster Arnold van Elderen. In the circle around the coat of arms is written in Latin: mcccclxxxvii mensis (iun) --- anima requiescat in pace. The text on the ribbons is largely illegible. Dimensions: 230 x 110 cms.
