English: Translation of text:

Here lies John Trevor, a gilded knight, second born son of John Trevor who bore arms from Trevalyn in Denbighshire. Secretary to both Charles, Earl of Nottingham, High Admiral of England, and the invincible fleet, which in the year of Christ 1588 delivered as much salvation to the country as victory over the foe, overseer of naval affairs under the monarchs Elizabeth and James, he was admitted as a noble member[? - not sure precisely what "ordinarius" denotes] of the privy chamber at the commencement of the reign of King James.

He took as wife Margaret, daughter of Hugh Trevanion who bore arms from Caerhayes in Cornwall.

Sons given by her he left John Trevor, gilded knight, who took as wife Anna, first born daughter and co-heir of Edmund Hampden, and Charles; daughters Anna, who married Charles Williams, a gilded knight, of Llangybi), and Jana who married Edward Fitton, Baronet of Gosworth in Cheshire.
