Deutsch: Vorderseite: MΣPΣ-NOM [Sirinos. Retrograd]. Ein Stier läuft nach l. und wendet den Kopf nach hinten. Der erhabene Rand ist als sogenannter laufender Hund gestaltet.

Rückseite: ΠVX-OOEM [Pyxeos]. Ein Stier läuft nach r. und wendet den Kopf nach hinten. Das ganze Motiv vertieft.

Kommentar: Die Münze ist nach achäischem Standard geprägt und zeigt mit dem sich umblickenden Stier das Motiv der Münzen der unteritalischen Stadt Sybaris. Die Bedeutung ihrer Vorderseiten- und Rückseitenlegenden - Sirinos und Pyxoes - muss aber unklar bleiben. Es könnte es sich um eine Gemeinschaftsprägung der beiden Städte Siris und Pyxus handeln, die allerdings sehr weit auseinanderliegen. Erschwerend kommt hinzu, dass Pyxus, das spätere römische Buxentum, wohl erst um 470 v. Chr. gegründet wurde. Handelt es sich also um eine Gemeinschaftsprägung zweier namensgleicher, aber bislang unbekannter Städte?
