English: Site of Former Colliery and Opencast Mine. The site of one of the many collieries around Cannock Chase, the site, known as Bleakhouse, became an Opencast Mine between 1993 and 1999. It has now been reclaimed and is a walking and cycling area.
Recent proposals to erect a wind farm on the site are creating controversy locally. |
