Description
English: The Irish folk tune Slane, used for some settings of the hymn "Be Thou my Vision". This version is to the metre 10.10.10.10 with each lines beginning on first beat of the bar. Some versions of "Be Thou my Vision" are set to a slightly different setting of this melody in which the the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines of each verse begin on an anacrusis, or upbeat (10.11.11.11).
