Description
English: Royal Phelps Carroll's 85-footer Navahoe (Nathanael Greene Herreshoff design, 1893) and John Malcolm Forbes' reconverted sloop Volunteer (Edward Burgess design, 1887). They are pictured on the day of the Newport to Cottage City leg of the New York Yacht Club annual cruise, August 11th, 1894, which the Navahoe won in her class over the Volunteer.
