nterior limb andconcealed the margin and spines of the ventral side. Threeof the limbs show the notch of Raymond between thecoxopodite and basipodite. Note the strong group of spineson the basipodite and ischiopodite and that the grouping ofthe ventral spines midway of the basipodite is successivelynearer the distal end of the ischiopodite, meropoditej carpo-podite, and propodite where it is at the end of this joint andthe two succeeding distal joints. The large spine with thesmaller spines corresponds to the ventral angle of the flat-tened joints of the endopodite of Triarthrus bccki.1The specimens illustrating Neolenus serratus are from locality35k, Middle Cambrian: Burgess shale member of the Stephen for-mation, on the west slope of the ridge between Mount Field andWapta Peak, 1 mile (1.6 km.) northeast of Burgess Pass, aboveField, British Columbia, Canada.
