Title
English: Snoqualmie River from above the falls, ca. 1915
Description
English:

In the late 1800s and early 1900s, David Denny and other members of the Denny family mined for gold at Gold Creek, at the north end of Lake Keechelus. In the early days, pack trains of mules and horses carried supplies between the mine and the Denny home at Licton Springs, near Seattle. The pack trains crossed the Snoqualmie River at an unidentified place above Snoqualmie Falls. Sometime in the 1910s, Lawrence Denny Lindsley, professional photographer and grandson of David Denny, took this photograph of the Snoqualmie River at the spot where the pack trains used to cross the river on the way to the Esther Mine.

On verso: Where we used to cross with the pack train bound for Esther Mines.
