Description
English: The short video summarizes the characteristics of native soils and the impact of conventional agriculture on such soils. Native soils provide an optimal pore structure for the circulation of water and gases, they provide long-term storage capacities for plant (mineral) nutrients and they provide symbiotic (micro)organisms for accessing these stores. Due to plowing, soil compaction and the application of fertilizers and pesticides, most of these features are compromised.
