Title
Figure of a Female Worshiper
Description
English: The variety of statuettes within the body of South Arabian sculpture is relatively small; most represent participants in rituals, their arms extended, probably in a votary gesture. This figure has lost its hands and the inlays that once marked the pupils of the eyes; the head is reattached. The sheath-like costume indicates that it depicts a woman.
