| Description | Aerial view of the South Park Bridge (also known as the 14th Avenue South Bridge), in Seattle, in August 2010, when closed to traffic and waiting for replacement. The two bascule leaves of the drawspan are fully raised in this photo. They were removed within the following few months, and the remainder of the bridge was demolished in 2011. Construction of a new bascule bridge then began, and it opened to traffic in June 2014. |
