| Description |
English: South side of Newbridge ball clay quarry By Bovey Basin standards this is a medium-sized quarry. The lagoon in the floor may coincide with that shown on OS Explorer 110. The hill in the background is a spoil heap by Brocks Farm across the River Bovey; I have yet to discover its name if it has one; indications are that it is still active. To its right is the Candy tile factory at Heathfield, mostly in SX8375. Strata, centre right, appear to be being quarried while tipping of spoil is happening towards the bottom of the photo. |
