Description

High of 57 degrees Fahrenheit

54 degrees Fahrenheit at capture

This older salamander was flipped under a chunk of conrete near running water from a seepage. The cold days prior left ice from the flowing water nearby where the salamander was flipped. Though lethargic at first, the salamander warmed up quickly and actively sought cover when released. This day was much warmer compared to the preceding and following days, and low temperatures were generally in the 30's.
