Kommentar: Isabella (die Katholische) von Kastilien heiratete im Jahre 1469 Ferdinand von Aragon, bestieg 1474 den kastilischen Thron und regierte ab 1479 gemeinsam mit Ferdinand die Königreiche Kastilien und Aragon (das spätere Spanien). 1494 verlieh Papst Alexander dem Königspaar den Titel 'reyes catolicos' (katholische Könige). Sie starb 1504.
