Summary edit

Description
English: The type of spinach used for this recipe is Amaranthus dubious or commonly known as arai keerai in Tamil Nadu. This recipe is made by boiling spinach and then smashing in the earthen pot with a wooden mathu. Smashing the recipe gives extra flavor. Then, it is garnished with roasted cumin seeds and dry chilli. This is a simple and easiest recipe yet very healthy. When served hot, it tastes the best. Mostly given for nursing mothers.
