English: Squirrel's Drey. A public house > 1270539 on The Street. Drey is the name for the nest that squirrels build from twigs, often with leaves attached. The dreys are lined with grass, moss and fur. Summer dreys are attached to branches, winter dreys may be inside a hollow tree. http://www.the-piedpiper.co.uk/th1d.htm
Sporle is a village that is mainly built along the main street, called The Street. It is situated 2 miles distant from Swaffham. The village post office is housed in the community centre. The village also has a pub ( seen here) and a primary school > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1270629 a village shop and 2 churches - St Mary's and a Primitive Methodist church > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1270584 a little further down the road. |
