Description
English: This is the beautiful Shri Harihareshwara Temple built on the right bank of Tungabhadra River in Harihar Taluk, Davangere District, Karnataka, India. In the year 1224 AD by Polalva the General of Hoysala King Narasimha II. The main Diety of the temple is the mix of both Vaishnava and Shaiva sects. Here the Diety is in the form of Vishnu as well as Shiva. So it is very popular among the Vaishnava and Shaiva followers.
