Description
English: Sri Rambai Cannon was one of the most famous cannons and was put on long wooden boat facing the North Channel by the Japanese in year 1941. It has the Dutch East Indies Company (VOC) symbol and dated 1613. This date signified that Sri Rambai Cannon was made at that time.

In 1871, a British boat sailed in Kuala Selangor and was attacked by pirates. The boat was sunken and after that two boats were sent to destroy the city in Kuala Selangor. It was during that time the weapon in Fort Cornwallis were sized including Sri Rambai.

According to history, the Sri Rambai Cannon surfaced from the sea by its own. This incident happened in 1880. It was cursed by one prince who tried a thread on his finger and ordered the cannon to come afloat at the sea.

Local folklore even believed that women who were infertile would be able to conceive by placing flowers in the cannon barrel as a form of special prayers.
