Description
Français : Saint François d'Assise est bien identifiable par le percement de la paume de ses mains en leur milieu, et de son pied apparent, stigmate de la Passion du Christ. Sa cotte brune à capuchon, ceinte d'une corde à noeuds réguliers, confirme son appartenance à l'Ordre monastique qu'il a fondé. A une vingtaine de centimètres sous son pied, la signature complète de José Oromi peut se lire, peinte de couleur noire, suivie de 1872, date de l'exécution de son oeuvre, peu après la nouvelle consécration de la chapelle, lors du retour d'une communauté de Capucins en 1871.
