English: St-Martin-s-Ouanne, Yonne, France. The Notre-Dame de Pitié, in the old Grand-Rue now Rue de la Mairie, was a site of many pilgrimages until the 1950's. It was built in the Middle Ages, and restored in 1886 by the Séguier family (who also paid for the restoration of the church and the construction of the church spire at around the same period). Français : St-Martin-s-Ouanne, Yonne, France. La chapelle Notre-Dame de Pitié, dans l'ancienne Grand-Rue maintenant la Rue de la Mairie, a été le site de nombreux pèlerinages jusque dans les années 1950. Construite au Moyen-Age, elle a été restaurée en 1886 aux frais de la famille Séguier (qui a également financé la restoration de l'église, et la construction du clocher vers la même époque). |
