Summary edit

Description
English: St. Conan's Kirk, Lochawe Some may say this church was a wealthy man's folly others say he was a genius whatever the case St. Conan's is one of the greatest follies in Scotland built by a genius. Walter Campbell started work on the church in 1881 one to allow his mother worship locally rather than travel at her old age. He continually added to the church until his death when his sister Helen took up the mantle. The church contains many features from churches all over Europe. It is now one of the tourist 'hot spots' in Argyll.
