Description

Grand Îlet is a landmark in the Simpson Bay lagoon, on the "French side" of St. Martin. It has a ruined fort at the top. It also has a rather strange name, which translates to "big little island."

The fortress ruins are clearer from the other side, but this angle had more favorable light. The location is approximate, since the island does not appear on the Flickr map.
