English: St Botolph, Boston This year sees 700 years of history (1309-2009) of the church, which is to be marked by a celebration.
See http://www.parish-of-boston.org.uk/anniversary.htm for an overview of the special events, which start on February 8th and go on until December 10th. The '700 Years of History' Exhibition will be launched on April 27th. Beneath the towering Church of St Botolph, is the River Witham, also know as The Haven. The view is from Town Bridge. Just upstream is the footbridge, St Botolph's Bridge, which leads from Church Lane and the Market Place, to the Bus Station. Beyond is Grand Sluice Bridge, which links Tattershall Road with Fydell Street. Further on is the railway bridge carrying the Grantham to Skegness railway. |
