| Description |
English: St George's Hall St George's Hall was designed by Harvey Lonsdale Elmes, a 23 year old architect who won two separate design competitions, one for a concert hall for the people of Liverpool, and one for the city's Law Courts. Both these designs were then incorporated into this one building which was opened in 1854. It is opposite Lime Street station, and is often the first impression of Liverpool for visitors arriving by rail. |
