English: St. James Episcopal Church in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Congregation goes back to the 1710s. This building design by Philadelphia architect Samuel Sloan is late 1850s-1860s. At west corner of Walnut and Cedar, across the street from the former 1st Baptist church designed by Thomas U. Walter.
Both churches are in the Bristol Historic District, on the NRHP since April 30, 1987. HD is roughly bounded by Pond, Cedar, E. Lincoln Streets, the Delaware River, and E. Mill Street with central coords at 40°5′53″N 74°51′10″W, Bristol, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. |
