Summary edit

Description
English: St John Baptist's Church, Puttenham. The church has a 12C south nave wall. The chancel and north chapel were 13C, rebuilt in 1770, and the south chapel was built c.1325. The tower was built in the 14C but the spire was destroyed by fire in 1735. The church was restored in 1861. In front of the church there is a well that was rediscovered in 1972 when the material that had been used to fill it subsided. This view is of the west end and north side of the church.
