English: St Mary's church - war memorial. The war memorial is located a short distance north of the north porch > 840850.
St Mary's church faces the village green with what remains of a village pump in its centre > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/840847. Dating from the 14th and 15th centuries, the church was extensively restored > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/840900 - https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/840902 but a late 14th century font remains > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/840904 and the tower screen has presumably been fashioned from parts of the 15th century rood screen. The unusual stained glass in the aisle windows > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/840907 and the west window date from 1874. There are also a few interesting brasses, one a very rare so-called cadaver brass - a shrouded skeleton > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/840912 - to Thomas Brigge (d. 1470).
