Summary edit
DescriptionSt Nicholas Church, Keyingham - geograph.org.uk - 761090.jpg |
English: St Nicholas Church, Keyingham, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Looking north-northeast from Church Lane. The basic Norman structure of this ancient church has seen many alterations over the centuries. The tower collapsed when struck by lightning in 1392 and a 100 ft. spire was added during the repairs, but the spire was removed in 1969 to reduce the load on the tower. |
