Summary

edit
Description St Paul's Church, Manningham, Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. Designed by Mallinson & Healey, completed 1846. All stone carving by Robert Mawer. Showing a plaque bearing the names of the bright sparks who conspired to re-order the interior of the church in 1971. We have them to thank for the dropped ceiling of the nave, the thick coat of undercoat and beige gloss paint on sculptor Robert Mawer's first known Caen stone font, several lost or damaged stained glass windows from the north and south aisles, and the breaking up of the proportions of Mallinson & Healey's fine interior space by its division into several rooms.
