| Description | Old photograph of St Ricarius Church, Aberford, West Yorkshire, England. Originally a medieval church, of which only the tower remains. The nave was mostly rebuilt in 1862 to a design by Anthony Salvin, but it includes an 1830 east wall. Local antiquarians wanted the old nave repaired, not replaced. The four gentlemen here, with hats off in the old medieval nave, may be those objectors. Note the medieval Romanesque arch, box pews, two-decker pulpit, gallery and organ.
