Description
English: Lake Lucerne paddle steamer "Stadt Luzern" (1887), the second ship bearing this name and predecessor of the current "Stadt Luzern" (1928). Image taken May 2, 1893, on the occasion of German Emperor Wilhelm II's visit. Wilhelm II and Empress Augusta Viktoria travelled from Flüelen to Lucerne on the "Stadt Luzern"; the image shows their arrival in Lucerne.
