| Description |
English: Stagecoach East London Routemaster bus RM1968 (reg. ALD 968B), pictured at the Great Tower Street stop in the City of London, operating London Buses heritage route 15 heading west. Unlike most other heritage Routemasters, which wear traditional London Transport livery with cream band and LONDON TRANSPORT fleetnames, this bus has been painted in the white band & white roundel livery which was used between 1975 and 1987, which encompasses the last ten years of London Transport control of buses, and the first couple of years of London Buses Ltd control. Despite Stagecoach having re-taken ownership of East London from the East London Bus Group back in October 2010, it still wears the ELBG East London logo here in March 2011, which ELBG resurrected from sectorisation era, before the company was bought by Stagecoach the first time around in 1994 during privatisation. The bus has since recieved a standard colour version of the Stagecoach logo [1] (while others in the more Traditional London Transport ones have recieved gold versions, as seen in this image of RM324 |
