Summary edit

Description
English: Buses belonging to Stagecoach Kingston upon Hull (now Stagecoach in Hull), pictured in the era of the original version of Stagecoach's UK wide corporate livery.

Centre shot is bus 933 (reg. C633 LFT), and together with sister vehicles 943 (C665 LFT) to the left, and 938 (C643 LFT) on the extreme right, they are 1986 Leyland Olympian double-deckers with Alexander RH bodywork. They were all new to Tyne & Wear PTE (Busways) in their C610-665 LFT registered batch (numbered 601-665), which was distinctive for their oversize front black bumpers, since painted white in this scene. They've also been given a different radiator grille from their as-delivered design.

The other two double deckers facing the camera on the right between 933 and 938, are also ex-Busways Leyland Olympians, but are later examples built in 1987 and with Northern Counties bodywork. They were from the batch of 28 such vehicles bought by London Buses to be leased to their experimental low-cost unit, Bexleybus (numbered 1-28, registered E901-928 KYR). The buses were not to London specification, but were single-doored and to the Greater Manchester specification (having been part of an uncompleted order for that operator). When the Bexleybus operation failed in 1991, the whole batch was returned. They were subsequently sold, some going to Newcastle Busways, others to the Mersyside operator Fareway (3 coach seated examples in the batch, no.s 2 to 4, were exported to Singapore as tour buses.

The rest of the double-deckers lined up to the left appear to ba a mixture of these same two types.

The single-decker on the extreme left is bus 15 (reg. D155 HHN), part of the training fleet. It's a 1986 Dodge Commando with Wadham Stringer Vanguard B38F bodywork. It was new to the Ministry of Defence (military reg. 80 KF 39, B39FA seating), and purchased by Stagecoach in 1998. Apparently a number of these were purchased from the MoD and distributed around the Stagecoach empire as trainers, being used until the law required such vehicles to be fitted with ABS.
