Description Stamp of the Nazi-German "Protektorat Böhmen und Mähren" (= Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia); 1942; supplement stamps of the issue "Landscapes"; depicted is the stamp Michel DRBM No. 70B; ("70A" = cobalt blue = darker color); This stamp is showing as central motive a vie to "Pardubice Castle" (German: "Schloß Pardubitz").; The castle was in the time 1332-1340 founded by "Ernst von Hostin" (Czech: "Arnošt z Hostýně").; His oldest son "Ernst von Pardubitz" (1297-1364) was also Archbishop of Prague.; From 1490 until to 1560 was the castle possession of the family "von Pernstein".; In 1560 this castle was sold to Ferdinand I (1503-1564), the then Emperor of the Holy Roman Rich of German Nation (since 1526/27 also King of Bohemia, 1559-1564 Emperor).; In the time 1574-1579 rebuilding of the castle by the Italian architect and building master Ulrico Aostalli (1520-1597) in the style of the Italian (early) Renaissance which is also characteristical for the contemporary view.; Since 2010 is this castle on the list of the National Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic; This stamp originates of the Nazi-time in "Československo" 1939-1945. Until 1918 was the Czech territory part of Austria and 1918-1939 part of the independant state "Československo".; The Nazi-protectorate "Bohemia and Moravia" existed from 15 March 1939 until 8 May 1945
