Stamp of the Nazi-German "Protektorat Böhmen und Mähren" (= Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia); 1943; stamp of the issue „130th anniversary of birth of Richard Wagner (1813-1883)“; The stamp motive is showing a scene from the opera "Siegfried" by Richard Wagner with the magical talented dwarf "Regin" (old-Nordic "The Almighty") which is forging the sword "Notung" for Siegfried, see also the song "Reginsmål" of the "Younger Edda" by Snorri Sturlason († 1241)).; This sword is called at Richard Wagner "Notung", in the "Nibelung saga": "Balmung", the old-nordic name was "Gramr", German: "Grimm").; The stamp motive shows the inspition "Prag 1887" but what is not entirely accurate, then the premiere of the opera "Siegfried" took place on the in the "Bayreuther Festspielhaus" under the direction of the orchestra director Hans Richter (1843-1916, Austrian-Hungarian dirigent and honor-citizen of the town Bayreuth).; The Nazi-protectorate "Bohemia and Moravia" existed 1939-1945 from until to as part of homeland of the German Reich.; From this time also is originated the depicted stamp.; Reasonable for the stamps of the protectorate was in each case the "Postal Supervision" (German: "Postaufsicht") of the German Empire.; Currency until to was 1 Koruna (German: "Krone") = 100 Haléřů (German: "Heller").; mint stamp
