Summary edit

Description
English: Standish Junction Signal Box. Standish Junction marked the point at which the former GWR line from Swindon and London converged with the former Midland Railway line from Bristol and the signal box stood to the left of the cutting just where the lines disappear out of sight in 147609. From here to Tuffley Junction on the outskirts of Gloucester the two railways ran side by side and the only connection between the two pairs of tracks was at Standish Junction. In the late 1960s the lines were resignalled and rationalised with new junctions being installed and reduced to 2 tracks from here to Tuffley Junction. This signal box along with many others was closed and replaced by colour light signal installation.
