Summary edit

Description
English: A view looking towards the Stanwell Creek Viaduct from a point of equal elevation southwest from the bridge. The structure, constructed in the late 1910s and opened in 1920, was erected as part of a new deviation of the South Coast railway line that avoided the steep gradients and long tunnels that plagued the railway with frequent accidents and driver discomfort. The viaduct, which spans the length of the deep gully carved out by the creek with a series of eight stone arches, is still in use today by NSW TrainLink's South Coast Line services and various cargo companies such as Pacific National.
