English: Start of the Tabular Hills Walk The sign indicates the start of The Tabular Hills Walk. This walk is 48 miles long linking Scalby Ness with Helmsley. It was conceived to help keen walkers who on completion of the Cleveland Way long distance walk, then want to walk back from where they started at Helmsley. A fit walker could do this direct in 3-4 days from Scalby Ness. Some groups take longer and use public transport. This means walking back and forth from the A170 road. Despite the inconvenience the fine country walking still makes it worthwhile. http://www.ryedalewalking.co.uk/tabularhills.html |
