Description
English: Cartoon parodying the Ipswich Volunteer Army, 1866 Caption reads 'An Incident at the Parade. Gunner Short of the Ipswich Volunteer Army (who is a little man and unable to reach the cartridge over the wheel, and who thinks that he can act his motion quickly by putting himself through it) - I'm-m caught don't limber up! Officer in charge - Battery! Take post to the rear of Gunner Short and lug him out. Gunner Short having been rescued, determines not to attend another parade as long as he lives.'
