Description
English: 5,832 GRT passenger liner SS Ormiston (right) being assisted by a tug (left) at Brisbane in about 1936. A Stephen & Sons of Glasgow built her in 1922 as Famaka for the Khedivial Mail Steamship & Graving Dock Company. In 1931 Eastern Traders Ltd bought her, renamed her Ormiston and registered her in Melbourne. in 1939 Australian United Steamship Navigation Company bought her, keeping the same name. Greek owners bought her in 1955 and sold her for scrap in 1957.
