English: Looking up at a State Highway 1 overbridge cutting through the suburbs of Grafton / Newton in Auckland City, New Zealand. The cantilevers probably stem from the constant widening that Auckland's motorways seem to undergo. Makes you realise what a massive impact these elevated motorways have - you kinda wonder whether it is worse to have the barrier effect of the motorway at ground level, or to have to live with this over your head. At least the bridge isn't long enough here to really create a large blighted area. |
