Description
English: A U.S. Marine with Lima Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, fast ropes into the hangar bay of the USS Essex (LHD 2) during Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) off the coast of San Diego March 23, 2015. As the 15th MEU’s vertical assault force, Lima Co. constantly hones the skills, like fast-roping from aircraft into an objective.
