| Description |
English: Station Road Looking towards the old courthouse at the junction of Station Road (A265) and London Road (A21). The village grew up around this junction of major routes with the old green at the village of Hurst occupying a triangular area at the junction of the two routes. The village itself reached its heyday in the 19th century being the centrepoint of the surrounding area in its provision of local amenities culminating in the building of the courthouse in 1892. It remained in use until the early 1970s. |
