| Description |
English: Steam Plough at Loseley This plough is being hauled between two Fowler ploughing engines, one situated at either end of the field.
The plough is connected to both ploughing engines by means of a steel cable, wound onto a drum situated below the boiler of each engine. On the plough, one man is steering, the other two are adding weight to ensure that the plough does not topple over. In the early part of WW2, my father was driving an ambulance on a part-time basis, and attended a fatal accident involving this type of plough. |
