Nederlands: Gevonden op 27 oktober 1999 op een maisakker bij Wapse. Jaap Bijker van het Drents Museum in Assen denkt dat het een bijltje is van de nl:Trechterbekercultuur en dat het dateert van ongeveer 3400 tot 2800 v. Chr. Hij omschrijft het als een gaaf vuurstenen bijltje afkomstig uit Helgoland of Noord-Duitsland. De bruine patina is ontstaan doordat humuszuren eeuwenlang op het bijltje hebben ingewerkt. De oorspronkelijke kleur is grijs.
Hij denkt dat het een fragment kan zijn van een grotere bijl. Het bijltje zou een keer zijn afgebroken. De top is opnieuw bijgewerkt. Op het bijltje zijn duidelijke gebruikssporen te zien. |
