English: Stepfershausen (Church-Castle); District of Schmalkalden-Meiningen; Federal State (and Free State) of Thuringia; Germany
Build in the late 14th century; later changes; of special interest: Former “Gaden-Kirchenburg” (to the inner side of the curtain, within the courtyard there were wooden houses for storing goods); to the town side modern modified ones remaining. Gate-tower with three levels; massive church-tower (chorus in the basement); remnants of the curtain. |
