Summary edit

Description

Shed roof details - 2 Although the shed lights look as if they are on, in fact they are not, resulting in extremely taxing circumstances for my rather basic camera and separate flashgun at the time. For this I apologise. The roof ventilators are shown in this view as are the fabricated cross beams holding up the roof structure. Although they look efficient, believe it or not , when on the lights were not that good, and the shed was always rather dark and dismal. Hiding away in the gloom we can see two of Mr. Maunsells less well liked Q class 0-6-0s and a pair of his much better U1 'Montys' nearest the camera on the left. All these engines had been withdrawn from service and were awaiting their fate.

Camera: Ilford Sportsman 35mm.
