| Description |
English: Stile on Giant Hill On the far side of the stile the footpath leads down the western side of Giant Hill (on clearer days giving a good view of the Cerne Valley), beneath the feet of the Cerne Abbas giant to the village of Cerne Abbas. On this side of the stile is an arable field - it occupies the top of the ridge where it is broad and flat enough to be ploughed. On the other side the land is grazed by sheep. Running from left to right beyond the stile is a low earthen bank, part of the Iron Age/Romano-British farmstead. |
